Nuclear medicine is one of the modern fields in medicine that uses Radioisotopes to diagnose some diseases and to treat others. It was called nuclear because of the nucleus that is the source of the radiation.

Nuclear Medicine department in CDH is considered one of the first few departments in Kuwait that was established in the early 80s, and it was reopened and redesigned in March 2008 in the (Co-op) building to increase its work load capacity for better service.
